Admission and Placement

The Mercedes-Benz International School exists primarily to serve the needs of its Member organisations and then those of other locally based international companies. It also wishes to encourage close links with the Pune community. These priorities determine the order in which applications are considered and places allocated. It is open to students of all communities, irrespective of caste & creed. We welcome applications from students of all nationalities.

Students are generally accepted for admission if they are aged 3 or over at September 1 in the year of entry and are considered by the school to be able to benefit from the education it provides. 6-year-olds who have previously attended school and who meet the same criteria are admitted to Year 1. There is also a small nursery for children between 2-3 years of age. 

Students are placed in a class appropriate to their age. Admission and placement of all the students depends on their ability to join the courses currently offered by the school.

Students may be admitted at any time during the year.  Advance notice clearly facilitates student placement.

The Director interviews all students and final admission rests upon the Director’s recommendation.
