Accommodation
The boarding facility provides a homely environment. It is a modern structure, fully air-conditioned four-storey building with separate sections for boys and girls. The accommodation comprises of spacious, well furnished mosquito proofed rooms with four beds and attached wash rooms.
An environmentally friendly solar water heating system is used for the supply of 24-hour hot water.
Provision also exists for 24-hour power supply with generator back up. This is duly supported with emergency lights.
Common facilities within the boarding house include study rooms, T.V and recreation room, indoor games and gym. Computers with Wi-Fi access and secure broadband internet connectivity are standard.
Cuisine
Excellent Indian, Asian and Continental food is offered, prepared under clean and hygienic conditions by Sodexo. The menus are prepared to meet the needs and beliefs of the different cross sections of the student community.
Health and Safety
The school has a well equipped medical room which is located in the boarding house and is managed by the nurse. A registered medical practitioner visits the premises twice a week. In the case of emergencies the school has a link with The Aditya Birla Multi-Speciality Hospital, located just 20 minutes away.
The Boarding Parents are available at all times to oversee the wellbeing, safety and security of the boarders along with the in-house staff. In addition, MBIS has a 24 hour professional security service along with CCTV surveillance for the whole campus. There is a well established protocol in the case of any emergency and all students are made aware of the arrangements.Safe drinking water dispensers are provided on each floor.
Study Time
A supervised, structured and motivating environment is provided in study rooms with access to networked computer facilities and Wi-Fi connectivity
Laundry
Each floor of the boarding facilities has a laundry room which is equipped with a washing machine, a dryer and an iron operated by the respective house keeper on each floor. A professional laundry service is also provided for linen.
Recreation
There is a recreation area within the boarding house with a television/DVD room, table tennis, pool table, indoor board games and a gym. In addition to the regular after school activities/clubs, the boarding students partake daily in outdoor games like football, cricket, badminton and swimming.
Purposeful and object orientated weekend outings and activities are regularly arranged providing knowledge and fun.
