Curriculum Model
Students at MBIS pursue the following subjects in different year groups.MYP 1 – 3
- Language A – English.
- Language B – German / French (and are placed at the appropriate level Foundation, Standard or Advanced depending on the ability).
- Science – Integrated until MYP 3.
- Mathematics – Standard or Higher level which is interchangeable (depending on the performance to support effective learning).
- Arts – Until MYP 3, MBIS students have lessons for both Music and Visual Arts.
- Physical Education.
- Computer Technology.
- Humanities- School offers History and Geography under Humanities. Until MYP 3, students have the privilege to take both History and Geography.
MYP 4 and 5
- Language A – English.
- Language B – German / French (and are placed at the appropriate level Foundation, Standard or Advanced depending on the ability).
- Mathematics – Standard or Higher level which is interchangeable until MYP 4 (depending on the performance to support effective learning). In MYP 5 it is registered for moderation with IB.
- Sciences – Physics Chemistry Biology.
- Humanities- History, Geography.
MYP 5 students choose between two humanities and one Sciences or two Sciences and One Humanities. - Arts- In MYP 4 students opt for either Visual Arts or Music.
- Physical Education – Compulsory for all.
- Computer Technology - Compulsory for all.
