This week, the Guys and Dolls team has been continuing with their rehearsals. They are now moving into more of choreography for songs rather than simply rehearsing the singing and acting parts. During this week’s rehearsal, the Hot Box Girls worked on their song– ‘A Bushel and a Peck’. The Gamblers, along with the Mission Band worked on ‘Luck Be a Lady’ and ‘Sit Down You’re Rockin’ the Boat’. Overall, rehearsals are going very well with different teams split up to practice different parts– the Gamblers, the Mission Band and the Hot Box Girls. Memorizing lines and songs are now becoming a key focus as we near the final show.

This week, we’ll be revealing a character seen often alongside Nicely-Nicely Johnson and Rusty Charlie– Benny South street played by Sharwari Khare! Just like his gambler friends, Benny is a naturally funny character and joins them in opening the show with the number ‘The Fugue for Tin Horns’. Seen in multiple scenes throughout the show, Benny also has a solo in the ensemble piece– ‘The Oldest Established’.

Be sure to stay tuned for more updates and a new character reveal next week!
